General Meeting

April 18, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 PM by President Danny, N4CPP.

Introductions by and of those present was done in a round table manner.

The Minutes for the last General Meeting of March 21, 2006 were read and accepted.

Fritz, N4DPF, read aloud a short synopsis supplied by Bob, KA4BOB, concerning the upcoming (week-end) Florida QSO Party held on the HF Bands.

Elections Committee: Fritz, N4DPF, with Hans, WB2ZZB, and with Elmer, KE4EYN, being out of town, related that said committee could best come up with basically the same slate of fine officers as are in at present. They are:

Officers:

President – Danny, N4CPP

Vice President – Don, N3VP

Treasurer – Vivia, KB4KEK

Secretary – Elmer, KE4EYN

Board Members:

Hans, WB2ZZB

Eddie, KI4ZJ

Charles, KD4TMS

Eddie read aloud the Club’s by-laws concerning eligibility for the officer’s positions, said eligibility was met and there was no protest or additional. On a motion by Hans, WB2ZZB, seconded by Bob, KA4BOB, and all in favor show of hands closed this years’ elections.

The evenings program was then brought to us by Ed, WA4ISB, who is also the chief engineer for the Cox Broadcasting System, which on Broadcast Antennas and Structures as well as the “Big Stick” Ham repeater system. Ed sure plays with some BIG stuff, and heavy, too. If he doesn’t know what he is talking about, it sure fooled us. Quite informative and interesting.

Officers’ Reports:

Treasurer, Vivia Martin, KB4KEK, related that the club budget was/is doing quite well. She furtherd that the Dutch heritgage Restaurant has been secured for the June General Dinner Meeting; time of 6:30 PM rather than the usual 8:00 PM.

Committee Reports:

Hans, WB2ZZB, on entertainment, always looking for interesting programs.

Fritz, N4DPF, for the elections committee, will report on same during General Meeting, looks like the same (fine) slate.
