General Meeting

March 16, 2004

 

 

Meeting was called to order at 8:12 PM by President Eddie Martin.

 

First on the agenda were the 2004 elections. Due to the fact that after an exhausting search for possible new board by the election committee (Fritz, N4DPF; Bob, KA4BOB; and Bill, WB4TJH – not present) and with none found willing or otherwise, the present slate has generously agreed to continue for yet another year, with the slight re-arraigning as noted:

                Treasurer:           Vivia Martin, KB4KEK

                Hans, WB2ZZB

                Danny Zirpoli, N4CPP

                Bill Bruno, KF4QOT

 

Bill Bruno was elected by an all-in-favor showing of hands by the membership present, as were the aforementioned slate.

 

After the general greeting of all, President Martin led into a  ‘round table’ where those present related interesting Ham and non-Ham happenings they may or may not have been a party to. There was much laughter. After we broke for refreshments and on returning, Bob, KA4BOB, with this evenings presentation, related his recent course on Emergency Radio Communications, gave an overview - with hand outs – on that subject by the ARRL and FEMA. It concerned Hams involved with emergencies at all levels.

 

The General Meeting was then adjourned at 9:13PM, motion- President Martin, 2nd-Vivia.
