President Eddie Martin, KI4ZJ, called the meeting to order at 9:30 PM.

Vivia Martin, KB4KEK read the minutes of the last Board Meeting. Don Vande Polder, N3VP, made a motion that was seconded by Charles Michael, KD4TMS, to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried.

Vivia Martin, KB4KEK, gave a copy of bank statements and Reconciliation reports for May and June to all members.

Vivia Martin, KB4KEK, gave the financial report for Field Day and it was unanimously agreed that we did not spend excessively for the event.

BOARD MEMBERS WISH LIST:

Charles Michael, KD4TMS, suggested we store drinks in the Radio Room at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for the volunteers that have to come in when called for an emergency. Eddie Martin, KI4ZJ, stated that we could not store food or drink in there. Don Vande Polder, N3VP, and Eddie Martin, KI4ZJ, stated the Windows Cafeteria donated to the volunteers.

Don Vande Polder, N3VP, suggested that we have a presentation on Basic Electronics about every three months. He also suggested that all non-members checking in on the Monday Night Net be invited to join our club and come to our meetings.

END OF WISH LIST

Vivia Martin, KB4KEK, stated the she would no longer be bringing in snacks for the meeting after August. Drinks would be provided, but no snacks. Danny Zirpoli, N4ZPP, said he would bring in snacks for the September meeting and Hans Napfel, WB2ZZB, would bring them for the September meeting.

Don Vande Polder, N3VP, suggested we contact the physics Department at the high schools and try to get young people interested in Ham Radio. He then volunteered to do the contacts.

In a sidebar discussion between Vivia Martin, KB4KEK, and Danny Zirpoli, N4ZPP, he agreed to play the piano at our Holiday Gathering if we could find a place agreeable to the board that has an open piano. Sounds good to me, we will discuss this further as we get closer to the holidays.
