Board Meeting

April 20, 2004

Meeting was called to order at 7:33 PM by Eddie Martin. The minutes for the last board meeting, March 16^th were read and accepted. Motion – Vivia 2^nd – Charles. President Martin related that he currently has possession of the radio, power supply and tuner from the estate (donated) of Ken Siegel. The radio is in need of repairs (he explained), but will work on a few bands at a reduced power level. “Would suffice for Field Day”. It was generally accepted by all that we use the radio “as is” for the present.

V.P. Charles related that there is more equipment from said estate that will be picked up for the club. Fritz esplained that club antennas (two) that are in his care are in good shape, but, was apparently missing some small parts for proper operation. These parts were not with antennas when he received them and only after seeing identical antennas realized minor repairs were necessary; Fritz went on to explain that he could effect those repairs with aluminum and stainless steel hardware obtained locally. The go ahead was then given by Eddie martin to purchase the needed supplies.

Treasurer Vivia reported on the state of the clubs’ economy, which is also known as the treasurers Report. It was unanimously accepted.

President Martin reported that the May meeting will be on MF rigs and antennas.

New Business concerned Field Day June 26 and 27^th. Chairperson for the event, graciously volunteering his time and efforts is Danny Zirpoli, N4CPP.

There was no Old Business.
