SARA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
April 15,2003
The President called the Executive
Committee to order at 9:38 p.m. He spoke of new E-mail capability he was
installing that would provide better communication with the group.
Vice President Don Vande Polder had no
report.
Secretary Elmer Dickson noted that he
would be out of the country from June to December, indicating a need for a
secretary pro tern for that period.
The treasurer Vivia Martin reported no
deposits and only two checks cleared in the past month.
A discussion was held about a Hamfest. It
was moved, seconded and approved that we seek a November 15/16 or November
22/23 date in the Potter building. Charles Michael will make the contact. A
decision will have to be made at the May 20th. meeting. Someone will also have
to check other nearby Hamfests to avoid a conflict in dates. The availability
of venders was an additional concern.
Field Day was reaffirmed, but the national
date is June 28/29, not June 21/22 as previously reported. Fritz will get the
equipment. Vivia will check on Wilkinson School, the Porta Potty and insurance.
We adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Elmer A. Dickson, Secretary 1
